The American Society of Plumbing Engineers

International organization for professionals skilled in the design, specification and inspection of plumbing systems. ASPE is dedicated to the advancement of the science of plumbing engineering, to the professional growth and advancement of its members and the health, welfare and safety of the public.

The Society disseminates technical data and information, sponsors activities that facilitate interaction with fellow professionals, and, through research and education, expands the base of knowledge of the plumbing engineering industry. ASPE members are leaders in innovative plumbing design, effective materials and energy use, and the application of advanced techniques throughout the world.

Worldwide Membership ASPE was founded in 1964 and currently has 6,500 members. Internationally, ASPE members are located in the United States, Canada, Asia, Mexico, South and Central America, the South Pacific, Australia, Europe, Africa, Caribbean and the Middle East. They represent an extensive network of experienced engineers, designers, contractors, code officials, manufacturers, and manufacturer representatives interested in advancing their careers, their profession, and the industry. ASPE is at the forefront of technology. In addition, ASPE represents members and promotes the profession among all segments of the construction industry.


Association of Independent Manufacturers’ / Representatives’ Inc.

National trade association that benefits independent sales representatives in the plumbing, HVAC/R, kitchen/bath, waterworks, irrigation and related industries by promoting the proper utilization of the rep function. AIM/R provides its members with a competitive advantage through education, information exchange, networking and a wide array of quality member services.


International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials has been protecting the public’s health and safety for more than eighty five years by working in concert with government and industry to implement comprehensive plumbing and mechanical systems around the world.



As a membership-based association, IAPMO is proud to utilize an open consensus process in the development of our flagship Uniform Plumbing Code® andUniform Mechanical Code®. These codes are established through scientific research, debate, and analysis, strengthening our position at the forefront of the plumbing and mechanical industries.

The IAPMO Group is a complete service organization, providing code development assistance, industry-leading education, and a manufacturer-preferred quality assurance program. Each component of the IAPMO Group works toward our ultimate goal of protecting the health of people everywhere.


Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors Association

The PHCC-National Association is the premiere organization for the p-h-c professional. Since 1883, PHCC has been the industry leader in promotion, advancement, education and training. PHCC’s notable achievements include:
